Just got my OZ head, pulled off the exhaust maniford and there's a 1/8" tube winding inside the inside the #3 & #4 exhaust port where the port divider would be installed. My US 200 head had nothing. Does anybody know what this tube is for, it looks like a mini heat exchanger.

It's the preheater for the auto choke.

Personally, I suggest the port divider is not worth installing. Consider that Ford Oz could easily have divided the centre exhaust ports when redesigning the head for its new intake - yet they didn't. But they felt strongly enough about performance to design and build two types of headers for these motors.

You will hear lots of contrary opinions to this, and mine is nothing more than perceived reasoning.

(Edit) I got the impression (grapevine) another Oz head may have been damaged during the port divider install, so if you go that route please be gentle...

Cheers, Adam.
