port polishing question

i've seen some beautiful polished exhaust ports on the links here, and have been working on mine. been using the dremel and small-diameter stones to get it started, then 80 and 120 grit flap wheels. the problem is the flap wheels are 3/4" diameter or so and don't get into the small radius corners of the port. any advice? i tried emery cloth wrapped around my finger, but that got old after, oh, half an hour of sanding. also having trouble getting to the whole port, even with the dremel flex extension. is it ciritical or will getting 75% of it polished up make a difference?

thanks again.....

No! It is easy to get anal and obsess, but don't. Smoothing the rough casting is the critical part. A high gloss polish in the exhaust ports won't last long on a street engine.

The critical issues are to remember that exhaust is exploding out, is hot and dry. It will follow the wide, outside on a turn, path. It will not like interuptions like port mismatches or diameter changes.

That's my two cents, for what it's worth.
