All Small Six Positive Crank Vent with Weber carb?

This relates to all small sixes
There isn't a hook up hose fitting on the Weber Carb body for a PCV, so you can make your own hook up either by drilling and tapping your Weber Carb Adapter Plate so there s a passage way or you can use the tapped bung that's on your log intake. These Vacuum Source hook ups for a PCV need to see Manifold vacuum so they will need to be below the carb's throttle blades. Best of luck

Got it, used the tapped hole in the log.

Where in the log is the tapped location?
If its not under the carburetor & on the log elsewhere that will lean those cylinders.

On another forum this guy posted pictures of his new Weber carb. I asked him if the PVC hose was hooked up the bowl vent (it was). He said "I don't know that is were my mechanic hooked it up." He didn't seem to care so I didn't go any further.

Its funny you mentioned this, I actually just figured that out a few months ago with my 1980 head. Always wanted to lean out #1. Here's a question, why did Ford put one at the front of the intake, knowing this could happen? Unless it slightly helped emissions. I finally moved it to right under the carb, performs much better now. Here's another question, should it be in the spacer, or attached directly to the Holley vacuum port on the flange? Or does it not matter so long as it is directly below the carb?

Hi Ryan, there are at least 3 great locations to use for a proper PCV hook up these are their order.
1. The Best one is always in the carb's base plate if the carb has that hose hook up fitting.
2. Second best is in an original PCV adapter plate or modding a carb adapter plate that's directly under the carb base.
3. The Third place is in the center of manifold log and directly under the carb.
You should never use a vacuum hookup that's located at ether end of the manifolds log.

That's great to know. My Street Avenger has one in the baseplate, so I'll be moving it from the carb spacer now. Great info, thanks man! I wonder why Ford even put the one between cylinder 1-2. Weird.

"...why Ford even put the one between cylinder 1-2...."
far B it from me 2 no. Is it for the auto trans?
