what kind of power increase can be expected with the installation of a clifford header 53-2600 single outlet on a 200 six with a small crane cam, 194 intake-204 exhaust with a larger pony carburetor. any replys appreciated wsa111

I have been waiting to hear more thoughts about the horsepower increase with a header and divider. So, is 10hp about what you get? What, if any benifit is there to using a port-divider with the stock exhaust?

The header and port divider with a good exhuast is worth 10 hp at the rear wheels. Check out Horsing around with the Mustang Six. Russell

On my Fairmont (aerodynamics of a brick), the divider gave me almost 10 MPH better top end speed until it broke and fell out one day while I was on the highway. My speed immediately dropped from 83+ MPH to 75 MPH.
