Power valve chamber on holley 350/quick need of fix?

Ok, with the power valve plate off, that tombstone shaped chamber behind it on the carb body where the 2 holes are that the PV gets it's vaccuum from....one hole is small and smooth bore, the other is larger and threaded...should that threaded hole have something in it?

Ronn, in that chamber the top hole is for the accerator pump, the other hole is the vacuum source for the power valve, it is at the bottom of the cavity & should be open to direct manifold vacuum.
I believe the other threaded hole is where the throttle body attaches to the body of the carb. & that is the front center screw holding the base plate to the body. Man I hope this leads to a fix on your carb. William

lol, your right...thought I had something..dangit, sorry for that, the hole that I thought was the "leak" was in fact a mounting hole in which in fact I have all the screws.

Still can't get the idle cirquit to work. I took it ALL apart again and really took a look and blew air through everything. ugh.

This is the point were I ask myself..SELF, do I just buy a new demon carb and hope it's better....or press on. Cause I would really hate to put that new carb on and have very little change other than idle. These are the things that annoy me and really delay projects.

Well, I have to go to Florida for week, my grandfather passed...but when I get back I'll take the frickin carb apart and post pics. Maybe you would notice something I don't.

Ok, heres a start. The list # on the carb is 6221. If you can find what it really is and what gaskets I need..I replaced the bowl, and PV plate gaskets..but the PV gasket could be the wrong one. I still need to find the base plate gasket. I don't know. I was at the parts store and we looked in the current holley book and my carb is not listed. Fun Fun.
