I have a 66 mustang with the 200 engine, had it professionally rebuilt last year, sent for paint and got it back a month or so ago. I went to put the dizzy in and noticed the oil pump shaft missing. I have no idea how the engine builder could have missed this. Do I have to pull the pan? Are the oil pump shaft readily available?

I am bout ready to dump this project, seems like at every turn something goes wrong, last week the wiring harness fried and I spent 600 and a week putting in a new 'Painless' one. I am about ready to drag it out to the desert and burn the thing to the ground.

Well it should be readily available, i know my rebuilder screwed that up too, and i had to put one in. I have a spare one in my garage just in case too so i know there must be others.

Just put it in front and I'll be by to haul it away. Pump shafts come with pumps. Sometimes separately. You can drop in from the top.

I have 3 or 4. Where are you located? If you luck out and are in SoCal OC area we can get together and hammer it out in a day. =D
