has anyone installed a procharger on a 4.9? ive got one from a 5.0, and im working out the details for my mounting bracket and extras like megasquirt. i havent seen many supercharger posts, but im curious about the pros/cons of something like this. the motor is in a 92/85 f150 and it likes to go muddin. thanks for your time.
 
One big pro over a turbo is that it is way easier to set up due to way less plumbing of exhaust tubing.
 
the mounting wont be so bad. im a fairly competent machinist. hope to have it really clean and well done. almost as if the factory woulda put it there. :)
 
the only thing i see being a prob. would be geting your hands one a pro.

i think brand new they are $2-3000.
but it would be cool.
so do you have a mill at home or you going to use one at work(if you work at a machine shop)

hey frankenstein f150, i had a old mcculloch s/c on my 83 f-100 300-6 and i work fine but alway's had a hard time with the pully's and belt's, i went with a turbo a big t-61, vortech carb enclosure ,34x12x3 intercoller,msd and many other goody's i have pic's on the other forum the ford truck enthusiasts, under supercharger, under the last f-100, the xlman been posting my pic for me on there, can't find out how to post pic's and the same thing on here can't post pic's, i just got on today this is my 1st post on this forum, i told everone about this forum and now there's no one on the other one, i like this one better,if you send me your email i will send you some pic's, i would love to help you with your supercharger, i have a lil mill that work's great for making bracket's for power steering, alt, a/c, i love to work on s/c,and turbo's it's about have fun and making friend's, well i c you later,keith the last f-100
