pushrod interchangability, hydraulic lifter dry adjustment

1) Can I use the pushrods from a 170 with solid lifters in a 200 with hydraulic lifters (I'm using the adjustable rocker arms from the 170). I can't think of any lubrication issues, but just wanted to make sure before I go screw something up this close to startup.
2) How do I adjust the valve lash on these hydraulic lifters when they aren't yet full of oil?

since you are using the adjustable rocker arms, you can use the pushrods you have.

to adjust the initial valve lash start by bringing the first cylinder to tdc. now adjust the push rod until you have no vertical movement with light pressure. then go 1/8-1/4 turn more and lock the adjuster down.
