Question about headers and the head

I am definately going to buy a dual out header and i was wondering something about the port divider that goes in between the 3 and 4 exhaust ports. Do i have to take off the head in order to put this in? and also do i have to take the head off to put the header on. Thanks!

the first really depends on how you are going to get the divider in there, epoxy, you shouldn't need to, but if you take it to get it brazed, yeah, you might

I would contend there is not much gain from the port divider. Mine came loss and I'm actually just going to pull it out and see if there is a difference. Someone else here did that and said they didn't notice a difference at all.
