well i just spent about $2000 to fix my engine taht caught fire i ordered a rebuilt carb from johns mustang it was rebuilt by barry grant in glendale cal. when i put the carb on it would smoke black out the tailpipe i got that adjusted my ? is how do u start over from scratch and adjust the carb it idles high and when i turn the screw out or in it does nothing only the screw at the base of the carb facing the exhaust manifold does anything my idle adj. screw isnt even touching i would think the car wouldnt idle but its like the car is driving itself i checked to make sure nothing was hanging up or getting caught im stuck on this one and it makes no sence but then again im not use to carbs and havent fiddled with one before so i figure now is the time can anyone help? thanx
