Redrilling a flywheel

Quick question, could I redrill the flywheel from a Chevy S10 with a T5 to bolt up to my 170 crank? I haven't been able to find the larger heavy duty flywheel that was available for the small block sixes

8) yes, but absolutely sure that you get your bolt pattern centered where it belongs.

You must also consider.
The distance from the crank flange to the ring gear. This will relate to the depth of the starter.
The diameter of the ring gear. This will relate to the starter engagement. (depth of teeth engagement)
Thickness of the flywheel.(crank flange to clutch face) This will affect the throwout bearing and clutch fork.

Have you checked the Bronco Graveyard?

def check the bronco graveyard (website)

I have been thinking of looking into a 9" billet steel or AL flywheel for the small six....but moving into the Crossflow crowd and can run a SBF flywheel so focusing there now.

both....

building a new (cobra spec) T5 to put in it. my WHOLE turbo motor/trans will be coming out in the next year or two once I get a garage to work in. I might be able to pull sooner for the right $$$

Does the S10 have any internally balanced engine. The flywheel for our inline six has to be zero balanced.
