This is my first post so please be gentle... I have a 66 Mustang coupe with a 200 I6. I just bought a reman engine from Advance Auto and the block did not come with a plug in the road draft tube hole. Can I use an expansion plug here or do I need to find a freeze plug? Thanks in advance for ny responses...

COOL,you actually got a part from advance that fits.I never have any luck there. They either give me the old ,we don`t have it line(because they don`t know how to find it,etc) or when I get part it dosent fit.Guess it depends on who is behind the counter. We have a guy at local napa who is a car nut from way back.He gets a kick out of finding parts for my 1960 falcon.

The block included everything but the tins( oilpan, valve cover, timing cover) You have to transfer pulleys and fuel pump. They sent a new oil pump less the shaft and pick up tube. The price was 1368.00 including tax and 175.00 core charge. They also included a gasket set. 3 yr. unlimited mileage warranty.

thanks for responding. That is a lot more than I thought it would be. I always see their ads for rebuilt blocks… $599. I was wondering how close to that it was going to be. Not very.
That's a great warrenty. Did they upgrade any of the rebuild at that price such as 3 angle valve cuts, etc?
