replacing the head gasket

When I replace my head gasket, can I re-use the exhaust manifold gasket or should I get a new one?

Also, the exhaust gasket is one of those big, thick ones and the mechanic used orange gasket sealer. What is the name of that particular product? It worked great.

Usually you can get a "head rebuild/valve job" gasket set. It should include the Head Gasket as well as the exhaust, VC and coolant gaskets.

The orange sealer is high temp silicon. If the gasket is still in good shape recoat it and use again.
