reverse flow cooling system

ok im not sure if i know enough about the cooling that is inside the block, but how possible is it to make the cooling system flows backwards? it would take some strange fabbing to get the hoses ran right, even if a crossflow radiator. and the thermostat would need to be relocated appropriatly. and the pump would need to be modified to pump backwards and possibly run backwards. the whole point is to get the cooler coolant to the heads first.

Just a note. Centfigual pumps flow the same "way" regardless of rotation. The flow is "in" at the center or eye of the impeller and then "out" somewhere on the outside. If the blades of the impeller are "forward" inclining or "backward" inclining it only impacts the efficency and amount of flow of the pump at that RPM. Spinning a centrifugal pump backwards does not change the flow direction one bit.

Centrifugal pumps also like the eye or inlet to be "flooded". So for a car the flow thru the radiator should still be the same. It might be possible to change the flow direction in a radiator but I think it would cause more problems than it would prevent.
