Can i remove the road draft tube and block it offon my 170 and go with a closed system from a 1965 200? To make a long story short my motor it blowing a good bit off smoke out of the tube and it stinks me out :O) The motor is on it's last legs and i plan on getting another one soon. But i'd like to see what classic inlines is going to offer in the way of crate motors.

I ran a sealed cover on my old 170. at speed smoke came out the tube and got carried away. at idle the PCV sucked it in.

the problem is i have a wagon and when i have the back window down it comes right back in

I'm running mine in reverse. Instead of the tube blowing out, mine now has a small crankcase filter attached there and it sucks in air. From my valve cover PVC, I ran the hose to the intake manifold thus expelling heat, fumes, etc through the exhaust.
