Rocker arm problem

I took my rocker arm shaft off to day and cleaned out the holes in the rocker arms. I didn't take off the adjuster screw I just used a torch tip cleaner with a bend in it and pushed the crap out to the screw and before removing the tip cleaner I blew the crud off. I then washed the rocker in varsal with a brush and then used compressed air to blow through the holes again. After reassembly and installing on the car the oil flow wasn't improved and now the car runs like crap. Although the car is a 65 it has adjustable rockers. When I turn the car off I noticed that there is only one rocker with a bit of play in it ( I should also mention that i was very careful not the mix of the rockers ) Is it possible that I need to adjust the rocker arms even though I didn't move the adjusting screws. The shaft was worn and I'm wondering is it possible that the rockers haven't settled back into the worn groves. I'm planning on replacing the shaft in the future when I do a ring and valve job but I was hoping to do that next summer. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

PS--I just noticed in another post that its possible to have hydraulic lifters and adjustable rocker arms. How can I tell what kind of lifters I have?

So your saying that I don't need to replace the rockers themselves --just the shaft?

I didn't know you were in Canada, but I am too, and I have bought stuff from this seller.
You just have to email and ask, perhaps you did? Maybe they have changed their policy.
I just happened to notice the price was really good, compared to others that came up on the search.
I can't speak to what you need, that requires measuring and fitting.
But it does sound like you need a new shaft if there is obvious wear.
It's also possible to find a deal on a complete set on ebay.
And Classic Inlines is putting together a new rocker arm package too, but I don't know when that will ready.

We're also looking into making our own rocker arms, either forged or CNC. If we do make them, we'll offer two or three different ratios. Forged rockers are cheaper (per rocker), and we're limited on the ratios, but I have to pay $4K for tooling. On the other hand, CNC rockers cost considerably more but there's no tooling charges, and we can make them in any ratio. The company I'm working with is currently making some CNC samples, but we're still negotiating the price. I just need to decided which way to go? My goal is to get the CNC rockers done cheaper than what's currently available, but if I can't get the price down where it needs to be, then I'll go with forged. Either way, I plan to offer a kit (rockers and shaft only) as well as complete assemblies. Hopefully we'll have them sometime this summer.....

I checked with a parts supplier near me and they can get the shaft for $60. I figure that is probably close to what it would cost me from the states by the time I pay shipping, difference in the dollar and possible duty charges at the border. So when I get it I'm going to take out the #11 head bolt and remove the oil pressure unit and see if a little compressed air will open any blockage between the two.
