Being the brilliant American male I am, I like to drink beer while working on stuff in the garage. Last Saturday after several pints I decided to strip down my rocker assembly to clean and rebuild it for my 200 motor. Of course, my mind clouded by malted barley and hops, I tore it apart without keeping the rockers in order and just threw it in a tank of diesel fuel to soak. Do they go on in a certain order, or am I OK jut assembling it correctly with them in any random configuration? I noticed the hardened faces they put on the tips that contact the valves are not on center. Is this intentional or just a result of loose quality control on a mass produced part? Are they like that because they need to go on a certain way? Please help this festive drunk solve his self-inflicted rocker conundrum.
