In a previous thread we discussed the pros and cons of the water-heated spacer under the Holley 1100s, etc. After removing the spacer and installyng the HW 5200, I read another post on strapping a heater hose to the shock tower brace, and keeping it as far as possible from the header. After hooking up the electric choke, I strapped both hoses together, and ran them along the left side of the valve cover. A few days ago, I purposely drove in heavy traffic on a very hot day. I was pleasantly surprised to see my engine temp reading the coolest I've seen it on a hot, Summer day. It's good to remember that there are simple (free) things we can do to help our engines live longer.
