does anyone make a sbf tranny to crossflow motor plate down there? got a crazy idea to put one in my merkur hehehe. I think witha little hacking and welding I can squeeze it in.

What do you want to fit? You can buy a C4 that is SBF, but with a 6-cylinder bell. You can get toploader and Borg Warner bells, cable and hydro. Plus aftermarket bells for Toyota alloy and steel case, and modded factory bells for most others.
If in doubt, but a toploader bell and find an adaptor kit. Should these plans come to fruition, post or PM and I can try to help. I am a little reluctant to say more currently, as there's some slightly mis-informed "parts collecting" going on, that may end up causing a few issues.
Anyhow, basically any worthwhile trans can be stuck behind the six here.
