I just got a new job at a Curtis Tire (obviously a tire shop) and one of the guys that works there said he had a 200 and a C4 tranny that he doesnt want anymore...he was/is a falcon fan, he had about 7 in his life and hes only 30ish...but he upgraded to a 302 now. The engine is rebuilt with about 130,000 km on it and complete from top to bottom it was aircared before he pulled it and it ran great. The Tranny is also a rebuild and has about the same km on it i think...although it could have less too, he didnt say since it wasnt brought up...all i know is that he doesnt want it and i can get it for free
Since the head on the 200 is in excellent condition, wwould it be wise to take it off, upgrade it a bit (probly 300 bucks worth of whatever) and stick it on my 250? The head on the 250 has a broken flange for the exhaust bolt...its the very front top one.. I have no idea if the valves were enlarged in my 250 when it was rebuilt. How much would it cost to get new and larger valves installed? i will most likely port and polish too, possibly grind the log so it accepts a 2bbl. Or would u guys just buy a smaller car for the 200? i think i'll see if i can find a 2 door maverick or comet or something that doesnt run but looks good...and then i can stick a 302 in my monarch. just a thought though.
