Scrap out a 1962 170 CID engine?

I am going to pull the rods from the 170 engine out of 1962 Falcon. I read the rods are forged. I May keep them and cryo treat them for a future 200 CID engine build.

My question is what other parts may be of use from this 1962 engine? I have taken the camshaft oil slinger and drive gear spacer - retainer parts off for my 200 engine.

The head on this engine is casting number C1DE ---- , small log , small valves

grab the adjustable rockers and pushrods.

the rockers are on my 200 CID engine. I have used the oil pan , pick up tube/screen and cam cover.

I see few remaining parts i need to keep from the engine.

Is it a solid lifter camshaft?

If the solid lifters are the same size as the hydraulics for the 200's they could be useful for doing mockups, measuring P/V interference, and cam degreeing.

IF it has the original side bowl Holley carb- save it. They are very cool and someone will be looking for it for a 3 X 1 setup.

what year is your 200 block? It may already have forged rods.

Adios, David
