All Small Six Shaft rocker oiling holes

Question regarding the oiling holes in the rocker shaft:

Are they supposed to face downwards towards the block or upwards towards the hood?
My original shaft had them facing downwards., and I was planning on installing the the RAU shaft the same way.
Just wanted to make sure I install them correctly...

Yes the Rocker Shaft Oiling Holes originally were down, if you look at the forces put on both ends of the Rocker Arm's then this is were the oil is needed. Good luck
