single 2v and 2 1v

I just got a head off from a 1977 maverick with a 200 motor.I am going to play around with this and was wondering about maybe trying to mount a motorcraft 350cfm carb(2v) in the center and 2 vw carbs on the outsides was thinking of 28 or 30 ict"s any opinions on this. I am looking for all around performance and heard 3x1 is more top end.I already have the 350 carb but was thinking if its more trouble than its worth will go with 3x1. any input would be appreciated.thanks

powerband has/had a set up like that, a 2v in the center and two 1v's on the outside. however he has a "radical built 250".

thanks for that post was very helpful to me. This is actually what I have already started to do and now gives me the ease of seeing it done in progress.So in everyones opinion would it be worth it to have a 2v in between this setup or would I drown my motor.I was thinking it would help out at the bottom end.also I am not using an adapter I would like to direct mount the 2v.

well I just got a set of carbs for this set up from e bay.I was wondering if anyone had info on these as everything I find on the net is in german.They are solex 32-34 pdict-3 carbs made in w germany.will these be adiquite for my aplication?thanks again for your help and input

from what ive gathered, those were OE on VW's. and they seem to be a "work-alike" of the weber 34 ICT, but less desirable . i haven't had any experience with them, this is just what i've read as i went over various VW and weber sites/forums looking for info on the 34ICT/H's.

they should flow similar to the weber 34's (~150cfm) because they're the same size, but that would depend on venturi size.

i think the solex's will work for you. you've already got them, might as well give it a try.
