Hi,
New to the forum and have a question to all you experts. I am looking to buy a new motor (or at least a head cylinder) to my 68 Mustang. One potential seller has this set up with 6 carburetors he says. Haven’t spoken to him yet and wanted to hear if you have any experience of something similar so I can ask somewhat less ignorant questions. Never seen anything like it earlier.

Looks like CV Motorcycle Carbs. to me ? My bet is it works ok... A.K. Milller did a almost new Ford Maverick ? 200 six, back in the early 70s. Im sure it was real good, since he did it, look that up... From your picture i think it might have an Aussie Cylinder Head ? That would be another bonus... Kinda makes me want to build one.

Thanks! I will dig into the AK Miller builds. Just one question: How do I see if it is an Aussie head?? That would clearly be nice!

Im not so up on those smaller 144,170,200 Engines. But it seems in the US they all had the Intake manifold cast with the Cylinder head. The Aussie heads that i know of, have a removable intake manifold. The difference is obvious, and im sure there is more info. on that here on this site, and others that can put more on here like extacy... The AK MIller Maverick build used the log manifold head for the Motorcycle carbs. It looked kinda cobbled, but im sure was done kinda fast. It seems he gave Chassis dyno numbers on from bone stock on up on each upgrade, very interesting.

yeah, even the "Argie head" (argintena). We don't have the intake like that here. We chop it off (AK Miller style) & form intakes or adapt others. We have those mag articles as 'stickies': "Horsing Around", etc. As BSF sez the Archive above has info Too.
