Small water leak sourced to rubber hose?

I have a small water leak running along the distributer side of my 2V. Whenever I take it for a drive water accumulates the full length along the small gap between the head and the block. Its only done this since I had the engine out so i doupt its a cracked head.
NOTE: ended up being traced to a rubber hose at front of head was an easy fix.
