OK, heres the situation....car runs good at idle, floorboard it and it goes like heck, but there is definate grayish smoke out the pipes. drive it on the freeway and its constantly pouring smoke. Now before anybody says it, no, the engine is not burning oil-no oil deposits on the plugs. I have not had to add coolant to the system so it hasn't munched a head gasket. Nobody has ever said anything about the outer carbs accelerator pumps-should they be hooked up? I am beginning to think perhaps the ignition isn't able to keep up at higher rpm and loads. I pulled the plugs today and they are all a little brown, but did have some scale on them, but otherwise looked very good. I have autolites right now, but am wondering should I put in something else? What does everyone here use? I'm jetted a little leaner on the outers than some other members, so I don't really think its too rich from the carb end of things. Anyone got any ideas? Thanx in advance, JOHN
