Are 2 1/4 inch head pipes made for inline sixes , my beafed up 250 six will retain the stock ehaust manifold until i geta header for it. willit sound like junk if i temporailly keep the header on it? i have planned on putting a flow master 40 series mufflr on it or either a dynomax.

i just dont want it to sound a ricer

I don't understand what you're asking? Will a 250 with a stock exhaust manifold sound like crap? No, I don't think they do.

6 of your words are misspelled :D

lol! Nice call.

beaf - it's what's for dinnur.

what size is your manifolds outlet? measure that and go to advance autoparts or autozone and pick out some pipes that are that size, a turndown and a muffler. you can find $20 thrush turbo mufflers at advance in 2.25" and 2.5", and you shouldnt spend more than $20 on the sections of pipe.

do you have a welder?

I was there with the stock exhaust manifold and 2.25 with a flowmaster 40. It doesnt sound bad but a header definetly adds to the sound experience and a turbo muffler will probably the best all around choice. The flowmaster 40 had a nasty drone and was a little loud for me. No spelling mistakes here guys I used spell check.

I would recommend a dynomax muffler or even a good quality turbo muffler.
From past experience the flowmaster sounds like a dog crapping razor blades.
Another option would be to use the single headpipe to a V-6 camaro dual outlet system.
From what i remember this deal sounded decent. Bill

lmao.

i think he just wants to put up something temporary, till he gets his header, but doesnt want it to sound like crap in the mean time. thats why i suggested teh cheap turbos and making your own, very short, pipes with the assorted pieces they sell at a parts store. thats if you know how to weld, otherwise i dont know.

LOL, doesn't anybody but me have a browser with automatic spell-check?

Not that I generally need it, mind. :D
