Can anyone tell me what year the spark advance/control valve was removed from the 1100 carb?
I've got an 1100 that doesn't have the spark control. The casting/knot/lump (whatever) is there, but there is NO provision for the valve. (and no it hasn't been filled in with JB weld)
The brass carb tag reads:
C6OF 9510 G
A6CA
I've always had trouble with this carb and getting it tweaked on a 66 engine. Of course the tag could have come from any number of places, and may not even belong on the carb. I've rebuilt this carb a couple of times in the last several years and always wondered about the spark valve. Maybe it's not even an 1100
. It sure looks like one in detail schematics in every aspect BUT the spark valve.
So, was the spark valve phased out in later years?
