standard header - re-installation questions

ok a couple of quick simple questions ..

I have the stock header (and exhaust) off at the moment, when I re-install it;

1. is there a tightening sequence for the bolts , or just sinch them all up then tighten?
2. What torque for the bolts?
3. for standard exhaust connection there's a 'ring' of metal between the header and exhaust pipe, what sealant should I use on this, just standard exhaust paste.?

Start from the middle and move outwards moving from top to bottom
Not sure how many bolts there actually are, but if they're arranged like the below, you'll tighten them as:
123456789
abcdefghi
5>e>4>f>6>d etc. Get it?

Do them all finger-tight, then go to 10ft-lbs, then do a final torque. I'm pretty sure they suggest you use high-temp anti-seize lube on exhaust bolts, but you're going to want to verify that.

Not quite sure what you mean by a ring. You should mean: A) the clamp that pulls the exhaust pipe into the manifold, B) the exhaust gasket.
If it's A, you're missing the gasket. If it's B, I have never used any sealant and never had any issues, you're just going to want to re-tighten the gasket after a couple heating-cooling cycles.

yeah, I call it a 'donut gasket' & there's nothing put on it, mate.

Some use 'antiseze' on the bolts (for head & exhaust, both) one product U can C copper flecks in it but there are others (use the hi temp 1s).

Pretty sure I have an old tube of copperslip grease in the cupboard so will use that on the bolts

double ck the label 4 "high temp" applications. We sell some that are, some that aren't. They're G R E A T products in my experience!

Can anyone quote the procedure for coating a certain bolt @ the H2O pump area that avoids the known design anomaly?

BTW: "... exhaust paste..."
never known that stuff to last or be worth it's cost where ever it's used, but I'm prepared to learn...
