Starter/Generator Metal Tags

I see the parts houses sell these nice looking metal tags that come with 2 rivets to attach to the starter and generator. I would like to put those on my 223 in my 55 F100 however since I do not see any pre-existing holes on the starter/generator, would JB Weld hold them on with the engine heat?

You just drill appropriate size hole for a small twist in rivet:nod:

I feel kind of dumb for not doing this in the first place but after cleaning the surfaces of the generator and starter, I found the 2 pre-existing holes where the tag was originally mounted. The question I have concerns the twist rivets....how are these installed? Is it a matter of placing the rivet in the hole and giving it a few hits with the hammer or do I need a special tool? Really appreciate the help.

You right its just a matter of placing the rivet in the hole and couple light taps with a hammer or you can use a punch on the revet with the hammer.
