Starter solenoid issues

If the starter solenoid is bad will it make a buzzing sound when trying to start? I just replaced it last month and I think I got a bad one from the parts store.

I had this issue for a long time, check your grounds and clean them very good! Do the one on the starter, the one from your batery, and the one on the altenator. I had the same problem for months, and thats all my problem was.

The buzzing typically is from a low battery or bad connection at one of the terminals. Check those first.

Possibly also the starter is dying (you could bring that in to be tested)

Yeah I had to bring mine to get tested, it looked to be in really rough shape and it worked fine.

I always doubt the solenoid only to find out, it's just a poor connection. Tighten those bolt, then tighten again. And keep 'em clean.

i have had your problem many times and it was always a weak battery after it happened a few times over a month period i figured out the alternator went bad

Well I took the battery to have it tested and it failed. So I am going to buy a new one in the next day or two. Thank Y'all.
