Straight Pipe!!!

I am about to get my header so i figured i should start the tear out of the old exhaust. all i really did was took off the muffler but now the only thing i need to do to get the rest out is unbolt the manifold and let it fall on the ground.

so today i drove around town with my straight pipe, from most cops i just got a thumbs up, but another was going the opposite way till he turned on his flashers and pulled a u turn, luckily i saw that and there was a neighborhood right around the turn in front of me so i turned off the ignition and just rolled in the neighborhood out of site.
i saw him fly by the neighborhood and i know he didn't get my tag, is that ilegal?

just thought i'd share my fullish fun with the rest of you guys

I drove for about 8 months on an open exhaust. kills the low end though...

as far as the cop....well if he wanted you he would have had you. maybe he got a call and had to go to that? was that just the stock exhaust/manifold?

yeah it was the stock manifold and exhaust until right after the rear axle were the muffler used to be.

i don't think he could have got me since i was going about 75 in a 45 and he had to wait for the people behind me to make the u-turn

ohh yeah, is this how it will sound with the glasspacks? i've heard the soundclips of glasspacks and they sound nothing like this

Now, THAT is illegal! I remember the ride to the exhaust shop with an open dual outlet header...I loved it.

yeah, there is some highschool graduation party going on in my neighbhood (with alot of attractive girls) so i decided i had some erands to run, talk about a head turner from all the girls and there dates.

I ran with open exhaust (cut infront of the door w/ exhaust manifolds) along with 2 other friends, really loud, especially when we did our revving contest before school! I got MANY looks, some people liked it others didnt enjoy my loudness. I ran like that for a week until I fouled a plug. I wish I had a sound clip. OHHH man the civics swarmed.... the only thing I could do was shake my head when they reved (as in a no shake like their cars are pathetic) The SRT-4 that flew past me when I got on it was pretty funny... i'll experince that difference soon, i'll probably run it for a week or 2 with open header, till i get the money to do the rest of the exhaust. i already have the 2 glasspacks how do you gues think it'll cost for the muffler shop to run the pipes and weld it up?
