hmmm, I found that the noise sounds like it coming from under the valve cover, i just adjusted the valves though, the fuel pump isnt making the noise, a dirty lifter may have given me the wrong reading for adjustment i guess
Well at least you don't have to take so much apart. Do you have adjustable rockers, should be easy fix? If so I like to do Hyd. lifters with engine warmed up (clearance grows with heat) and running.
no i never took the bottom end apart, i want to take a look in there but i just dont have anwhere to get that far in the engine, i live in an apartment and i do all the work on the side of the road lol, it sounds like its coming from under the valve cover, im thinking that maybe the rockers are dirty and were giving me the wrong indication when i adjusted the valves, it sounds like the #1 or 2 cylinder area
LOL IT WAS JUST THE VALVE COVER, THE BOLTS WORKED THEMSELVES LOOSE, :rolflmao: I took it off and it was quiet

its a little worse than i thought but still no biggie, the valvesprings are hitting the inside of the aluminum valve cover, i guess the new head has wider springs on it, and thats why the bolts are coming loose
Maybe you can relieve (slot) the holes a little to move it over and or grind the inside of the cover some
