supercharger from an xterra/frontier

I was looking through ebay and noticed some cheap superchargers and openeg up the page and saw it was for a 3.3l, and then it hit me... my motos a 3.3l.... wouldn't that make for a pretty good match?

looks like it would be a fun job to mount and make work but hey there only selling for 100 bucks... I dont know what kinda boost you could expect but some is better than none right? any thoughts/comments?

I guess there isnt a whole lot of information on these, if anybody knows why it shouldnt work I would happy to hear that also.

Well its a roots style blower which means it will sit on the topf of your motor. This means you would have to change over from carb to FI. Then you would have to mate the bottom of the blower to a custom intake manifold, then make sure it clears the hood. It looks like a good unit, but I think that there are a number of things you may be looking past in order to get this blower up and running on your car. Unless you have an xterra motor in your mustang that is... :O)

now would you HAVE to do everything you say? I know that that is how its supposed to be run, but could you run a setup like this but as a blow though style?

frontier/xterra superchargers are known to have problems around 40k miles. just fyi..

I don't know what the specs are on that setup. It almost looks like that SC is turned upside down and is then routing the compressed air into the intake manifold. I am sure with enough money anything can be done, but it looks like you are going to be embarking on a major project. Best of luck if you decide to buy the SC.
