Supercharger questions.

I've been interested in possibly adding a supercharger to my 66 coupe { 200, T-5 }. From those who have done it, I'd appreciate your comments on:
1. What kind of actual performance gain did you see?
2.What supercharger did you use?
3. Rough cost to make the addition?
4. What was the effect on the gas mileage?
Thanks,
Russ

1. First off, it's not just how much HP the supercharger make but also how quickly. The low end torgue is aswome
2. I used a Paxton Sn-89 Supercharger made for a Mustang 5.0 engine!
3. Cost depends on new or used supercharger, Used under $1,000 New $2,500 to $3,000
5. If gas milage is a concern then you should not be spending $2,000 to 3,000 on a Supercharger to make more HP

I barely have $1,000 in my system and that includes rebuilding it last year!

Someone on here owns a machine shop (turned out to be a good thing!) and added a 3.8 supercoupe chrger to his 3.3. Worked great until he missed third gear and blew the motor :(

I prefer to use snails, myself

Didn't someone here do that with a Turbocharger, missed a gear and blew the enging? Superchargers produce only 5-8 psi (unless you do major mods) Missing a gear shouldn't blow the engine unless it was wornen out or maybe a very lean fuel ratio developed. But none the less a good point if you have a manuel transmission you should have a BOV or other device to make sure you don't overboost your engine if you should miss a gear!

i´m going with the Eaton M-90 and a blow-through holley 350cfm but still waiting for the aluminum head...
