Swapping out the 170

[Titleist16]

I have a 1962 Mercury Comet with a stock 170 but I was thinking of swapping that out with like a 250 straight 6. How big could I go without having to change a lot of things? What would I have to change if I went with the 250? Would this be a good swap? Any other suggestions for a swap?

go to the home page and click on tech then scroll down to 200/250 swap ( the 144 throu 200 are the same blocks, the 250 is a different block but uses some of the 200 parts.)
