Tapping Noise

I have a 200 and it has a tapping noise noy when first started after driving awhile it devlops it it not there all the time it comes and goes. It always starts tapping when go step hill. Is this a common problem or is it time to remove and rebuild the engine. And are all 200 parts the same internal and external. Because Right now I have no idea exactly what year or model it came out of . It is a newer one do to the Egr vale on it. But it is in 68 mustang

Sounds like it could be a bearing. It might also be piston slap caused by worn cylinders.

So then I guess it would be time to rebuild it. That really ***** now is the time of year I want to be driving it. And can't find any other ones locally to rebuid and than just do a swap.
