My first vote goes to the BMW M54 inline six engine. It made 332hp at 7900rpm and 262 ft lbs of torque at 4500rpm.

Second vote goes to the Oz Chrysler Hemi Six.
The top of the line performance engine in the E49 Chargers produced 302 hp (225 kW) @ 5600 rpm and 320 ft·lbf (434 N·m) of torque @ 4400 rpm. The increased power is due mainly to a more aggressive camshaft, high-load valve springs, triple 45 mm DCOE Weber sidedraught carburetors, tuned-length exhaust headers and a higher compression ratio of 10.0:1.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chrysler_A ... _potentialNaturally aspirated versions are capable of making 400-430 horsepower and 360-390 ft·lbf of torque, with the best modified version revving up to 7000-7600 rpm.
