The GreenMachine runs!

I did the port polishing myself on my head. For unleaded seats, new guides, oversized valves, springs, retainers, decked head and cleaned up exhaust face I paid $580. I would say to have porting included in for $600 is a good deal.

I think ill stay away from the bigger valves unless someone can convince me otherwise remembering its going on the street. Will still get the good retainers, crow singles, unleaded seats and thinking the stock guides/rockers will be alright?
Any advice on these last things is much appriciated as I need it back asap its been to long im braking down in tears almost every day now.

The reason I went to bigger valves was because mine were burned and pitted and they needed replacing. I dont think there was any real difference in price between stock valves and the aftermarket ones. I paid about $100 for my valves. The bigger exhaust valve is a good upgrade because the exhaust port design on these heads is not the best and needs as much flow as it can get. This hasnt affected street performance for my car, it is stil very driveable and pulls well from low rpm.
With the valvetrain, an aftermarket single spring seems to be a good option. It is usually a good idea to get new collets because it is cheap insurance. The stock guides should be alright, although K line or bronze guides will last longer. The stock rocker shaft is plenty good enough for a performance rebuild. For the extra 0.1:1 rocker ratio gained by aftermarket ones, it is better to get the extra lift ground into the cam and use the $300-400 bucks for something else.
