ok in my post you told me that you got your wheels at a shop that machined the holes themselves. where exactly is that store and how much did it cost you? i really want to know because i dont want to have to do a 5-lug conversion just to get the kind of wheels i want. if you could give me any info, it would be realllllllly appreciated.

Maybe I can help. Les Schwab tire centers are a basic tire store like Discount or any other that deals in just tires and rims. I ordered custom drilled 16" Centerline Billet Champs through Les Schwab for my 63 Ranchero. Centerline Wheels, specifically the Billet wheels, can be drilled to meet the 4 on 4.5 and any backspacing you like. Example 3.5" or 4" backspacing. It took 2 weeks to order and cost me $200 each. Weld Racing Wheels also stocks a couple to fit like the Weld Draglite and Rodlite, again around $200. Summit handles the Weld line I believe.
I ran the 55 series tires and total profile height was near the same as stock.
Others on this site say the MG or Nissan bolt on wheels will fit, but I believe they only come in 13" wheels.

You can get 14" Nissan alloys off a 240Z or Skyline to fit. I have seen Mitubishi 4-lugs off their Scorpion (Fox Mustang copy) used, but unsure of the exactness of this one.

Dodge Sapparo...Colt Sigma...the 14" versions. The Mitsubishi Starion/Dodge Challenger(?...the 2.6 Astron Turbo 2-dr, RWD with 164 hp Turbo EFI engine, released in USA for 1983) were the same as well.

I've forgotten just what Lee I badged the RWD Mitsubishi's as  . If its got an Astron 80 Silent Shaft or Sirius 2000 in it, and RWD, it'll fit the Stang. 114.3 mm PCD, not the Pinto/Bobcat 108 mm number. Most FWD Jap cars have negative offset geometry (or postive offset, if you are American) and won't fit. RWD Mazda 929'S may be a candidate, and then you could maybee get a set of 15" 205/50 Pontenza equiped tires and alloys for it. Heck, Ford Own Mazda.
