Throttle Cable set up Please post

Ok. I have searched the internet and this site to find a detailed discussion on throttle cable conversion but to no avail. I have seen KASTANG page (very nice I might add) but this has to be an issue with all Holly carb mods. I have headers (which most of us do) and that damm rod does NOT travel far enough to get full throttle. Duh POWER is the reason were spent all that money in the first place. So can we (inliners) post detail pics and steps to help us all convert? I know there are complex mechanical set ups out there (mad props to those with the skills) but I as many just need a simple yet effective solution. Please submit a post if you have done it. The questions I would like to see answered are:
1. What part number cable did you use?
2. How did you set up the pedal?(V-8 non stock part # of course)
3. How did you mount the bracket to the valve cover/ did the bolt hit the rods below?
4. What kind of bracket kits did you use? Part #

As you can see simple can be complex. So please help as I feel this info will help a lot of members.

what carb are you running?

on my 5200 swap I used the stock linkage ..it needed the pull rod shortened but that was it.

for the 7448 I am bolting a homemade bracket to my VC and running a 300 efi cable from a bronco to a 88 tbird pedal

I look for the part numbers. I defaulted for a long cable then I knew I'd need as you can always cut it (like I had to). There are a couple of options. I don't think the set up you see on my page is my final. Lokar makes a bracket that fits on the bases of Holly Carbs for cable throttles. THen you just need the V-8 pedal, another hard point (like were I attached to my coil bracket) and the cable routes right to the carb base with the 2nd fixed point.

I'll look for the part numbers this weekend when I'm cleaning out my garage to prepare for winter work on the car.
