In my mock up last night, I bolted on the Holley adapter Mike sells @ FSPP to the intake, then set my Holley 2300 500CFM carb on her and had throttle plate butterfly clearance issues. They were hitting the sides of the bore on the adapter. Is this common? Should I add a spacer or mill out the adapter a bit? I'd rather not space it up as hood clearance is at a premium. Anyone else have this problem? Roughly how much metal needs to be removed if I just massage the adapter a bit?

Thanks guys.

Only "times" I have had that problem is when the gasket is in backwards, check this out first, sometimes you may have to set the blots loose and wiggle the carb around first to free the butterflies.
