Throttle return springs

What choice of throttle springs do you guys prefer...heavy or light....when I switched to lighter springs the car "feels" like it accelerates quicker, is it just my idea or is there a logical explanation for this???

I like the stock spring for the sixes because it takes so little effort to hold it in one place. I have tried several weights of springs from stiff to loose. The stiff ones make your accelerator foot tired after a while. On the other hand, the loose spring doesn't always seat my idle screw on the stop when the carb is hot so I got a spring that is somewhere in the middle, but on the light side.

just a reminder - worn throttleshafts and bores are not only caused by the shaft just turning in the shaft bores... guess where shearing forces come from, especially when amplified by the lever arm of the trottle rod.
I would´nt choose a spring harder than necessary.
