Hey All,
So I had my 200 rebuilt in mid august and have been pretty satisfied with the results thus far....
The shop recommended that I change the oil at 400 miles just to make sure that any shavings or debris (as a result of regrinding the cam etc) would be removed. So I did this and have only put about 2,000 miles on the car since the last oil change. I just checked the oil last night and it seemed to be fairly thick and dark at the tip of the dipstick where as the higher the oil hit on the stick the lighter it would get.
Does it make sense that there would still be debris or that the oil would be that contaminated after only 2,000 miles?
I think i'll play it safe and change it this weekend but just wanted your thoughts!
Thanks!
