I need to replace the oil pan gasket on my car. What should the bolts be torqued to when I get the new gasket on?

My manual says 7-9 ft lbs.

That sounds about right. Be sure not to overtighten, as it will deform the oil pan and it will never seal properly. It is very easy to overtighten.
