tranny is in the shop; why so soon?

'nuther HAMBer! Excellent!

Nice car, very nice car.

I've been thinking lately about doing some mild mods to the Mustang. Its time for some body work and paint. I figure, as long as I'm at it......

thanks.
If you're going to do some body work, that is the time to do it. My advice is to first find the design elements that don't seem to fit. Maybe it's a weird body seem or a line that isn't parallel. Stand back and see what pops out at you.
The other design technique is to exaturate an existing line or design element. These are the things that add up to a sweet, non-generic mild custom.
Most people don't notice the idividual details, but realize the car looks really nice and better than others for some reason. Those in the know are amazed as to why they never saw that before or why Ford didn't do that in the first place. Just be simple and tasteful with the treatments.
Let me know what you come up with.

Wallaka, I'm there with my real name and my '37 IH as my avatar.

I'm looking around to see what I like in custom work. Nothing major planned right now (no '59 Caddy fins grafted on for example) but probably more along the lines of a GT/CS look on a '66. Maybe some smoothing, good paint etc.

thanks. I'm just looking forward to getting the all-white tuck & roll finished.

As far as a new engine, mine runs fantastic. If Mike at FSPP has a crate motor that is priced right, I may step-up. I wouldn't mind a 200hp set-up with fuel milage and dependability.

I66coupe, think about texture as well. I really like to see contrast textures like flat stripes or matte paint and gloss roofs, etc. I think texture has really been used well in the motorcycle market but for the most part ignored in the automotive. Mine is matte lime with a gloss flaked roof.
