I talked to the guy who owned the car that the motor came out of the other day and he was saying that it is a 170. The guy I got it from told me it is a 200. I don't know. It has four mains and it is a '64. That's about all I can tell you. The casting #s on the block are....C4DE and 6015-A. I looked up the #s in the tech section but I did not see them there. Is there any other place I can find them?

The casting number won't tell you much beyond the year and the vehicle the engine was originally cast for. In your case, you have a block from 64 Falcon (C4DE). There is a machined flat pad on the driver's side of the motor right near where the road draft tube would have been. Look on this machined flat spot for a code, that would help decipher what you're working with.

If there are three freeze plugs on the passenger side of the block it's a 144 or 170. Five freeze plugs means it is either a 200 or 250. And yes, even the 4-main 200 had five freeze plugs. Here's a very good Ford part number decode source: http://www.hammar.dyndns.org/~djhamma/partnumb.htm
