I got it going yesterday arvo!
Motor is silky smooth. Clutch makes awful screeching noises. I think the hub of the second clutch plate is rubbing against the snout of the gearbox input shaft when I push the pedal in. Bugger. I put a new throw out bearing in so It can't be that. The pedal doesn't move properly, and the clutch fork doen't mover very far, only about 1/2 inch. I will pull the box and see whats going on. Sounds easy when you type it. I hate putting clutches in, hours on your back, in pain, crap falling in your eyes.... input shaft that doesn't quite go in.....more pain.....not enough room....not enough arms....patience shortage......argh....
I am considering putting a further 2mm sandwich plate in between the bell and motor, maybe that will do it. Why didi I put that twin plate clutch in? Because it was "free" (and I'm a tight-arse). Bugger Bugger Bugger.
