i'm trying to desing (with the help of my uncle) a way to rig a turbo to my 82 cougar

the engine is a 200
i'm planning on throwing in and intercooler then Jpipeing that into the carb

i was going over the desingin my head last night when it suddnely occured to me
this sucker is going to lag worse than my computer
i was going to use a larger turbo (probly one rebuilt froma 300z) becuase the cougar is fairly large and heavy.
i'd rather not have my car jerking around as i drive
anyone know how to rig up a sequential turbo sytem into a older ford?

well you'd rig it just like its riged in the 300z and supra. smaller one feeds larger one but...you might not need to do a sequencial, a properly sized turbo will work just as well but if youve got access to a sequeal setup then the cool factor goes off the scale. check out some of the other turbo tech around here or ask specifics on this thread and we can help you out as much as possible. whats your goal? whats the final set you plan to use? ie: Forged internals, boost levels, fuel system)

well if you are worried about lag don't worry. you can always run a smaller AR on it and get more low end boost. bigger turbos make more power but have less bottom end. I am gonna try a .48 first and if it is too small then I am going up to a .63 (T3 with a .60 compressor)
