I am a lite confused with the vacuum line and the diagrams in the books are not clear. Engine is EBP-6015-D

Is it correct to connect the following vacuum lines as is:

- From the distributor to the carb (with 1 loop)
- From the Double Action Fuel Pump to the carb
- From the manifold to the wiper engine
- what about the second line from the Fuel Pump... it is unused.

Thanks for your assistance

The lines should be run:

carburetor vacuum port to distributor vacuum advance, with loop in line.

The windshield wiper should have a line running to the vacuum pump side of the fuel pump. The other (output) side of the vacuum pump should be run into the intake manifold. The double action fuel pump simply acts as a booster for the vacuum wipers. It was installed on all cars with overdrive or automatic transmissions and was optional on cars with three speed trannys. Make sure the vacuum lines are run to the correct ports on the vacuum part of the fuel pump. If you route things backwards you pump gasoline fumes into your windshield wiper motor, and thus into your passenger area (your wipers also don't work with this configuration).

I don't particularly like dual action fuel pumps. The spring pressure from those pumps is very stiff, and they have a history of wearing the pump eccentric flat on your cam. If you rebuild your wiper motor it will actually work quite well without the booster.

How to know where is IN and OUT? Is there anything written on the pump?

There is still a pipe out of the Carb which currently connected to the fuel pump. What to do with ?

The easiest way to check the vacuum booster part of the fuel pump (if the ports are not labeled) is to install the fuel pump and not connect the vacuum lines. Start the engine. Put your finger over each port. The suction side goes to the wiper motor and the pressure side goes to the intake manifold.

The carburetor should only have the fuel line and distributor vacuum advance line run to it. The extra line is probably running to the intake manifold directly below the carburetor. If you do have an extra line, please describe it in detail or post a picture for identification purposes. It is unlikely, but possible, that someone put a line in the spark valve port or something weird like that.
